David García García, TWave's BDM, presented the SMARTGEAR project at FEMETALiNDUSTRY's Innovation & R&D, Industry 4.0 and Digital Transformation Committee, focused on fault diagnosis in industrial gearboxes.
Yesterday we took part in FEMETALiNDUSTRY’s Innovation & R&D, Industry 4.0 and Digital Transformation Committee, where David García García, BDM and partner at TWave, presented the SMARTGEAR project.
With this proposal, we want to advance fault diagnosis in industrial gearboxes: detecting that something isn’t right and helping to understand what’s happening and where the problem is.
The project combines artificial intelligence and expert knowledge, using data from digital models, test benches and machinery in operation. The goal is to provide useful information to maintenance teams and machine operators, so they can make decisions and anticipate failures.
A project put forward together with our partners Apsider Ingeniería Metalmecánica, S.L., ALEASTUR Group and SEM, with the scientific-technical support of the Universidad de Oviedo. Thank you to everyone involved for your commitment and for bringing the expertise needed to take on this challenge.
And thank you to FEMETALiNDUSTRY for driving this collaboration and organizing the gathering. It was a pleasure to share our proposal, learn about other interesting projects presented, and talk with the rest of the cluster’s partners about the challenges each of us is working on.
